my lungs have turned to paper and they are burning with every inhale. you've turned me into an origami boat and my sails aren't strong enough to stay afloat in this wind. my feet are sinking towards the endless bottom of the dark sea and my cottonmouth throat is sealing up with salt. you are the moon changing the tides, you are the wind, telling me where to go. my cardboard body is slowly sinking and i'm begging you to bring me to shore.
